Class Work

Class: ART308 - Interactive Online Design

Assignment: Design a site to communicate your discovery of a new creature to the rest of the world. Fourth revision based on reading assignments, in-class discussion and peer critique.

I used the colors of my creature - an eye suspended in a purple gelatinous substance called "Iris" - as the basis for the color scheme of the page. Though navigation through the site is fairly linear, the story is framed as a blog, so I feel that this is forgivable.

Class: ART308 - Interactive Online Design

A "keep it smple, stupid" approach to the university web page.

Invitation for LHUP Juried High School Show 2008.

Done for the LHUP Fine Arts Society.

"Portrait of a Properly Reformed Robot Dissident"

Digital painting done for fun. Juried into the 2008 LHUP Juried Student Show as an untitled piece.

"Eternal Guardian of Nothing"

Micron pen drawing. In my head, he stands forever - guarding a temple that returned to dust long ago.

"Monster Cock Death Bitch"

Micron pen, Sharpie, and a bit of Prismacolor pencil. Artwork for a band I have in mind. They play heavy metal, but all of the lyrics are about cute, fluffy things like kittens and how wonderful it is when you catch the ice cream truck.

"The Only Male Fairy"

All of the fairies I've ever seen depicted are female. I figure there is only one male, and he is extremely sad and lonely, since there's no one around for him to talk about guy stuff with. Also, with millions of females around, I guarantee he spends most of his time getting yelled at.

"Cuddles"

My first experience with Ebony pencils. This ate one and a half of them, and a couple hours of a slow afternoon.
