| There will be a meeting the Thursday before the Gathering so that we can get things set on who is buying/picking up what and when. Who is going to open the door and other last minute things that we need to clear up. |
| The LHU Fly Fishing Club is always welcoming new members. There are many members of the club that have never picked up a fly rod before, but are simply interested in the sport. We as officers and experienced fly fishermen take the new fly fishing students under our wing and show them the ropes of what fly fishing is all about. We always include the new students in our trips to NY, and to Erie for steelhead if they are able to attend. So, if your looking to learn how to fly fish, or if you have even heard of it and are curious to find out more. Come to a meeting, or get in touch with an officer/member and we will do our best to help you out. |

Spring Gathering This year is looking like it is going to turn out to be the biggest spring gathering we have had yet. We have invited the PSU fly fishing club and they are planning on attending at the moment. We are extremely excited about our presentation this year from Lance Wilt and Josh Day who are recent club members and Graduates from LHU. The food as always is going to be amazing with Vern cooking the big dinner on Saturday evening before the presentation. During the day on Saturday Leo Vensel will be doing a informal casting presentation and will be there to work with anybody who is throwing tailing loops, or just wants to add a little distance to their cast. Leo is a Federation of Fly Fishers Certified casting instructor. Each year we have some of the great names in fly fishing in attendance throughout the weekend, and this year is shaping up to be an exciting event. Everyone here at the LHU Fly Fishing Club is excited about the event and is hoping to see you there. |
